Description
X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF) analysis is a modern and universal analytical method for determining elements in various materials. Whether it is a bulk sample, a powder sample, or a liquid sample, almost all elements located between element number 11 (beryllium, Na) and 92 (uranium, U) on the periodic table can be accurately analyzed in terms of qualitative, quantitative, and non-standard sample analysis. Depending on different application requirements, the analysis concentration range can be from 0.1 ppm to 100%, and even elements with concentrations as high as 100% can be directly measured without the need for dilution. XRF analysis has the characteristics of simple sample preparation, wide element determination range, high determination accuracy, good reproducibility, fast measurement speed (30s - 900s), no environmental pollution, and no sample destruction.

Principle of Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Instrument
The primary X-rays generated by the X-ray tube and high voltage, after being appropriately filtered by the filter, are irradiated onto the sample, exciting the characteristic X-rays of the elements contained in the sample (referred to as X-ray fluorescence). Using an X-ray detector with high energy resolution, the X-ray fluorescence spectrum is obtained. Different elements form different spectral peaks on the spectrum. The intensity of the spectral peaks is proportional to the content of the elements in the sample. By analyzing the energy spectrum detected by the detector through a computer, the types of elements contained in the sample can be qualitatively determined based on the position and shape of the spectral peaks, and the elemental composition can be quantitatively analyzed based on the spectral peak intensity.
