ASTM D4294 Sulfur Content Test Machine X-ray Fluorescence Sulfur Content Analyzer Petroleum Product Sulfur Tester
Overview:
The X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzer is a quantitative analytical instrument used in industries such as petroleum, coal, building materials, metallurgy, and mining. It is primarily used to measure the total sulfur (S) content in materials such as petroleum and its products, coal, cement, and carbon black. Because it employs a physical analysis method, it features fast analysis speed, no need for complex sample pretreatment, high accuracy, low human error, low operator workload, and no pollution. Therefore, it has been widely used and has largely replaced chemical analysis methods.
The X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzer is mainly used to measure the S content in petroleum and its products (and other liquids). It uses energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) analysis technology, a small X-ray tube as the excitation source, a thin beryllium window gas-filled proportional counter tube and secondary filters, a special optical path system, and a hard sample ratio method, achieving a detection limit of 10 ppm (300s). It features automatic C/H ratio correction, suitability for various samples, integrated design, large data storage capacity, and results delivered in as little as 60 seconds.
The LS-126 X-ray fluorescence sulfur analyzer was improved to meet the requirements of the 2019 version of GB/T17040. In addition to retaining the advantages of the original DM1260, it incorporates the following significant improvements:
(1) The original proportional counter was replaced with a lower background and thinner window proportional counter tube. The distance and angle between the X-ray source, detector, and sample were adjusted. The high voltage, current, and target material of the X-ray source were adjusted.
(2) The original simple multichannel pulse amplitude analyzer was replaced with a newly designed digital multichannel pulse amplitude analyzer using FPGA, DSP, and other technologies, reducing dead time and improving counting throughput.
(3) The old CPUs, such as the 80C31, were replaced with new large-scale integrated circuit CPUs, and the original vertical circuits were replaced with surface-mount circuits.
(4) The original black-and-white LCD screen and keyboard were replaced with a large-screen color touch LCD, and the original dot-matrix printer was replaced with a thermal printer. Improvements (1) and (2) reduce background and increase sensitivity, thus significantly lowering the detection limit to 3.9 ppm (300 s), enabling this sulfur analyzer to fully meet the 2019 version of GB/T17040's requirement of a PLOQ (Combined Limit of Quantification) of 16 ppm. It also complies with the relevant requirements of national standard GB17411 and American national standard ASTM D4294. Improvements (3) and (4) greatly enhance the reliability of the sulfur analyzer and improve the user's operating experience.
Features:
Fast and accurate - Requires extremely short measurement time, typically providing results in tens of seconds. Highly reproducible and repeatable.
Low detection limit - Employs EDXRF technology, a low-background thin beryllium window proportional counter tube, and a secondary filter. Achieves a low detection limit.
High adaptability - Automatic C/H ratio correction, suitable for various samples. Automatic working curve switching, suitable for a wide measurement range. Long-term stability - Employs variable gain digital multichannel technology with gain adjustment, ratio correction, and bias correction functions, ensuring excellent long-term stability.
Environmentally friendly and energy-saving - Radiation protection meets exemption requirements. Analysis is non-contact and non-destructive to samples, causing no pollution, requiring no chemical reagents, and no combustion.
Easy to use - Touchscreen operation. Simply place the sample directly into the sample cup, put it in the instrument, and press the [Start] button for true one-button operation.
High reliability - Integrated design, high degree of integration, strong environmental adaptability, strong anti-interference ability, and high reliability.
Data storage - Can store massive amounts of data, supports data retention after power failure, and can be viewed at any time. Stored data can be transferred to a PC.
High cost-effectiveness - No gas, vacuum, or dilution required, resulting in extremely low operating and maintenance costs. Price is half that of similar foreign products.
Scope of application:
Applicable to the measurement of sulfur (S) in various oil products (such as gasoline, diesel, heavy oil, residual fuel oil, etc.), additives, additive-containing lubricating oils, and products from the refining process, ranging from 13 ppm to 10% in refineries, testing and certification institutions, oil depots, and laboratories.
Also applicable to the measurement of S in any material across various industries.
