Therefore, to study the drag reduction effect of various additives in drilling fluid is one of the important methods to improve drilling speed and prevent downhole accidents.
The whole process of drilling is accompanied by friction between the drill string and the hole, especially when drilling ultra-deep Wells, highly deviated Wells, horizontal Wells, the rotary resistance and pulling resistance of the drill string will be greatly increased. At this time, the lubricity requirements of drilling fluid appear more prominent. Therefore, a lot of lubricants, anti-mud coating agents and unstuck agents have appeared in China, and the evaluation of these lubricants and drilling fluid lubricity methods and instruments has become an important topic.
The instrument is used to measure the lubrication quality of drilling fluids and to provide data for evaluating the type and quantity of lubricating additives that may be required. During the test, a constant force is applied to the friction ring and the friction fast by the torque wrench.
