Mass comparator is a special electronic balance with high resolution and excellent repeatability. It is mainly used for mass comparison of weights or objects requiring high precision. In general, the mass comparator does not read the mass of the weight directly, but rather displays the value of the weight or object being measured compared to a standard weight or object. If we know the quality of the standard weight, we can compare the measured weight with the standard weight for many times through the mass comparator to get the difference between the measured weight and the standard weight, so as to get the value of the measured weight. Because the mass comparator has very high resolution and very good repeatability, it can get accurate values even if the difference between the measured weight and the standard weight is very small. And the full range of mass comparator function is diverse, not only can be used for measuring weights, also can be used for general weighing applications.
Quality comparator is mainly used in: weight verification, national standard quality laboratory, legal metrological verification institutions, calibration laboratories, etc. At present, the quality comparator is becoming more and more important in the field of industrial quality control. For example: density and volume measurement of quality standards, wear of coating due to mechanical action, large filter membrane weighing and coating weighing in chemical industry, filling weighing of valuable gases, turbine blade weighing, etc.
