High Temperature Foam Characteristic Tester/Testing Machine ASTM D6082
The high temperature foam tester is suitable for testing the foam characteristics of lubricating oil at 150ºC. The sample was heated to 49ºC, kept at a constant temperature for 30 minutes and then cooled to room temperature. Then the sample was transferred to the prescribed measuring cylinder and heated to 150ºC. Dry air was passed into the metal diffusion head and ventilated for 5 minutes. The amount of static foam, the amount of moving foam, the amount of static foam at the specified time after the stop of ventilation, the time of foam disappearance and the percentage of total volume increase were measured.
