Identification of seawater pearls and freshwater pearls
In order to establish a method for rapid identification of seawater and freshwater pearls, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer was used to detect the elements of seawater and freshwater pearls and calculate the silver calcium ratio. The silver-calcium ratio of seawater pearls is generally above 0.2, and that of freshwater pearls is below 0.2. This method can be used to identify seawater freshwater pearls quickly, accurately and non-destructively!
