ZGY type Automatic Drying Tester
Automatic Drying Tester for ink is Is applicable to test the ink drying time. This tester consists of a rotating cylinder, a weight wheel and touch screen. When it work, the rotating cylinder rotates at constant speed, meanwhile the weight wheel moves in line along the cylinder axis at the constant speed. Applicate the sample on the parchment(film length is 30cm), then stick the parchment on the rotating cylinder. Move the weight wheel to the starting point(cylinder left)and set the needed time(from 5hours to 20 hours)which it go over the whole distance(the length of cylinder).If the ink don't dry completely, then the weight wheel would leave a mark on the parchment blank space, till the test is finish. Obtain the test results by counting the ink traces on the parchment and rotating cylinder working speed.

5. Weigh the sample and standard white dryness oil on the analytical balance in accordance with the following proportions and fully mix, and weigh the standard sample and standard white dryness oil in the same way. Ratio of ink to dry oil:
Resin ink: sample (or standard) ink: standard white dry oil =95:5
Oil ink: sample (or standard) ink: standard white dry oil =90:10
6. Scrape the standard ink sample and the sample together into a scraping sample of about 30 centimeters long; Press the "timing Start and stop" button to start test timing and compensation timing; Then the scraping sample covered with sulphate paper is wrapped together on the round drum of the automatic drying tester, and fixed with adhesive tape.
7. Move the pressure wheel to the right of the screw and press it on the scraping sample covered with sulphate paper; Press the "Run" button to start the cylinder rotation (compensation timing will stop automatically), and the pressure wheel starts to scratch.
8. In the running process, you can press the "stop" button to stop the rotation of the cylinder (compensation timing will automatically restart), in order to observe the scratch situation; Then press the "Run" button to resume the rotation of the cylinder (compensation timing will stop automatically).
9. When the "test timing" reaches the value of "test timing", or when the pressure wheel touches the limit switch on the left, the automatic drying tester will automatically stop running, beep three times and freeze the display. It can also be observed that the pressure wheel is no longer marked with ink after pressing the "stop" button, and then immediately press the "timing start and stop" button to stop the operation of the round drum, and freeze the "compensation timing" display.
10. Take off the sulfate paper to view the ink mark interval number, multiplied by each turn time plus the compensation time, that is, the ink drying time. Find out the drying time difference between the sample and the standard sample, check whether it is suitable.
You must press the "Timer Clear" button to clear the display before you can proceed to the next test.

1. The instrument should be placed on a stable and smooth laboratory operating table away from the interference of strong magnetic field, strong electric field and strong electromagnetic pulse.
2. After the completion of the test, adjust the "test timing", or before starting a new test, you must use the "timing Clear" key to clear the previous test display data, otherwise the relevant keys are invalid.
3 for faster drying ink, can choose a shorter "test timing", so that the round drum each turn time is shorter, can increase the resolution of the drying time determination.
4. Clean the instrument in time after operation; After use for a certain time, add lubricating oil to the moving part of the instrument timely.
5. After turning off the power switch behind the instrument, please wait for 10 seconds before turning it on again, otherwise it is easy to cause display confusion. If the display is abnormal, please turn off the power and wait 10 seconds to restart.
