Application field
Used to test the scratch resistance of metal surface coating, such as coil paint, tin can ink, metal paint, automobile surface coating, etc.
It is also suitable for the evaluation of scratch resistance on the surface of single coating or composite coating of color coated plate.
Product introduction
The scratch resistance of the coating was evaluated by the maximum load of the spherical steel needle with or without the scratch coating under a certain weight.
During the test, a hemispherical scratching needle with a diameter of 1mm was used to slowly touch the surface under test and make a scratch about 10cm long.
Depending on the purpose of the test and the load applied, different degrees of penetration can be observed, ranging from surface marks to complete penetration.
The motor drives the sample and the needle gently contact, the needle across the sample, and automatically stops when it reaches the end point.
The contact between the needle and the metal substrate is identified by a voltmeter, which indicates a current passing through when the sample coating is scratched.
