The test instrument shall be able to clamp the sample in the following ways:
♦ Place the sample horizontally, and do not put up;
♦ The area above or below the fabric to withstand continuous rising water pressure is 100cm2;
♦ When testing, the clamping device should not leak;
♦ The sample will not slip in the clamping device;
♦ Minimize the possibility of water seepage at the edge of the clamping device.
The water in contact with the sample must be fresh distilled water or deionized water.The temperature is kept at 20±2ºC or 27±2ºC.The choice of temperature should be indicated on the test report.(With higher temperature water, lower water pressure will be obtained, and the effect will vary from fabric to fabric)
The rate of water pressure rise should be 10±0.5cmH2O/min or 60±3cmH2O/min.Since the results obtained from two different rates may be different, the choice of rate should be indicated on the test report.
The pressure gauge is connected with the test head, and the pressure count should be accurate to 0.5cmH2O.
