Introduction:
The tester is suitable for the verification (calibration) of potential energy drop hammer tearing instrument.
The calibration of the instrument is based on the principle that the increase of potential energy before and after the instrument is equal to the work done when the instrument tears the corresponding sample.
The total weight of the gage is greatly reduced by changing the gyration radius of the center of gravity and the mass of the gage.Using vernier calipers to determine the gyration radius of weights can calibrate any force within the measuring range of the gage.It is light, portable, versatile, easy to install, easy to operate and high test accuracy.

Installation of gage
Because various types of instruments are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the method standard GB/T3917.1-1997, the position of the dynamic gripper is unified (the same as the requirements of foreign and domestic standards), it is common to determine the position of the tester by the spindle rotary center and the upper edge of the dynamic gripper fixed clip. The specific installation position is shown in Figure 2.

2. Fixed bracket 2: one end has a hole, with the hole is fixed in the spindle end (spindle rotation with the pendulum instrument);
The other end is held in the clamp mouth with a fixed piece, the upper edge of the clamp mouth sample clamping surface, the fixed piece is tightened after clamping;
And the center line at the same time through the spindle center of rotation and the dynamic gripper clamping piece of the upper edge.
In this way, the caliper axis of movement and the plumb line through the main shaft is 27.5°.
3. The vernier 3 of the caliper is fixed on the bracket 2, and the ruler body 1 can slide in the vernier sleeve on the fixed bracket.
By moving the ruler body to change the distance between the center of mass and the center of rotation, that is, to change its radius of rotation.
Drill a hole 11mm from the center line of the front end of the caliper body, fix the weight shaft 4 (150g), and fix the weight 5 on the shaft;
The weight changes its radius of rotation as the ruler moves.
Weights are combined as needed.

Iii. Calibration and installation method of gage
(I) Calibration of gage (It has been calibrated before delivery, and can be re-calibrated if there is any doubt in use)
The content of gage calibration mainly includes the following aspects:
1. Quality of caliper body
Remove the ruler body on the balance to weigh the ruler body mass to see if it is consistent with the calculation formula.
Otherwise, the calculation formula should be changed.
2. Gyration radius of weight
When the ruler body is at zero, the center distance between the fixed hole of the weight shaft and the fixed hole of the rotary center should be consistent with the design value.
3. The ruler body and weight center of gravity movement trajectory should be on the extension line connecting the center of the fixing hole of the center of the rotary center and the center of the fixing hole of the clamping piece
On the tablet with a square box assembled fixture, with rotary center height vernier caliper measurement on the stator fixed hole (that is, the bearing inner hole) and the clamping piece fixed hole centerline height is the same;
When the ruler body is drawn out and indented, the center height of the fixed hole of the weight shaft on the ruler body is the same as that of the fixed hole of the rotary center.
4. Center of gravity position of gage assembly
Insert the shaft matching the aperture of the rotary center fixed hole (i.e. the inner hole of the bearing) on the fixed frame into the inner hole of the bearing, and the shaft is clamped in the pliers to make the shaft horizontal as far as possible.
Assemble the gage, do static balance test when the ruler body is completely indented, adjust the vertical and horizontal two center of gravity adjustment screws, should make the assembly meet the balance.
5. Check the accuracy of fixtures and schedules
Use a certified electronic tearing instrument that can display the swing Angle. Adjust the level of the instrument and measure the distance between the upper edge of the inner side of the gripper fixing piece and the center of rotation to be 104mm, and the distance between the upper edge of the inner side of the gripper fixing piece and the plumb line of the center of rotation to be 48mm.
The minimum range of the instrument is used to measure the zero swing Angle without sample and record it.
The tester is installed on the instrument, the ruler body is all indented, and the zero swing Angle is measured again when there is no sample;
The difference between the two should be within 0.2N.
After adjusting the zero point again, the ruler body is drawn out to a certain length to do "sample" test, which should be in accordance with the attached table.
The difference between the two should be within 0.1% (F.S).
6. Next to 5. Install the weight rod and tighten it. Use the height vernier caliper to measure the height difference between the root and the end of the screw rod.
7. Use a balance to weigh the weight shaft and the quality of each weight, should meet the requirements of five weights.

(II) Installation of gage (as shown in Figure 2)
1. The level and zero point of the tearing instrument should be adjusted before installation.
First, the two indicators of "104mm and 27.5º" of the instrument were verified to be qualified.
2. According to the structure of the instrument, select the appropriate accessories to fix the gage fixing frame;
Align the fixing hole of the rotary center with the center of the spindle.
(1) The instrument with the spindle rotating with the pendulum is installed according to Figure 2b.
(2) The instrument with spindle not rotating shall be installed according to Figure 2a.
3. Clamp the clamping piece into the clamping device, so that the upper edge of the piece is flush with the mouth of the clamp, and an edge coincident with the center line of the fixed hole is in contact with the upper edge of the fixed clamping piece;
Adjust the length of the clamping plate into the clamp mouth so that the plane of the fixing frame is parallel to the rotary surface of the pendulum;
The hole for fixing the clamping piece on the fixing frame is a long hole, which can adapt to the manufacturing deviation of "standard requirements: the distance between the center of the spindle and the clamping joint of the clamping device is 104mm±1mm" during instrument manufacturing;
Adjust the center line of the fixer to the clamping joint through the gripper.
Properly tighten the screws holding the gripper.
4. Pull out a larger length of the ruler body, measure the distance between the center of the fixed hole of the weight shaft and the plumb line passing the center of rotation, and measure the height of the plumb foot to the center of rotation;
Check whether 27.5º is accurate by calculation.
(Instrument level bubble is often inaccurate)
5. Clamp the gripper and tighten the screws.
6. Pay attention to the screws fixed on the center axis of rotation do not screw too tightly.
7. When the gage does not add the weight shaft, retract the ruler body to zero position.
At this time, the center of gravity of the gage should be on the center of rotation.
The instrument is set to zero again, and the change in zero position should not exceed 0.2N.
Adjust the zero position again.
So far the gage has been installed.

(3) The method of using the gage
1. Adjust the instrument according to the instructions of the instrument to be tested and put it in the test or calibration state
2. Install the gage according to 2 and (2) and adjust the zero position.
3. Check the value of the force value to be verified according to the value table of the gage extension length of the instrument to be tested, and adjust the extension length of the ruler body according to this value, firmly.
4. Test the "tearing strength" according to the instrument operation method.
5. According to the instrument value and set value to determine the value error.
6. Test point by point as required.
